Robert Noyce Scholarship Program at ASUSynopsis of Program: The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program at ASU seeks to encourage talented undergraduate students to become certified 7-12 mathematics teachers. It provides scholarships for juniors and seniors who are selected on the basis of academic merit, with consideration given to financial need and the diversity of participants in the program. Participants are expected to obtain teacher certification or licensing and to become successful secondary mathematics teachers. Participants will not only be provided financial support but will be mentored by ASU faculty and local 7-12 mathematics teachers. Students will form a cohort that will take courses together and be placed with specially chosen teachers for the student teaching and field experiences involved in their teacher certification program. |
