Researchers in Profile
FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER RESOURCES

The following facilities are available for use by research teams.

Laboratory Classroom: CRESMET has a fully mediated classroom for research activities and data collection.  Within the classroom are six large circular tables, one large rectangular table and a podium for the instructor.  The front and side walls have white boards and projector screens.  The rear wall has an observation window.  The classroom contains ceiling-mounted video-cameras to record visual activities along with tabletop microphones to record audio discussions. Adjacent to the classroom there is an observation room, an interview room for performing clinical interviews with individuals or small focus groups and a control room for filming and editing artifacts.  The interview room has media capabilities similar to the classroom.

Conference Room: CRESMET has a mediated conference room with video conference capabilities.  Faculty and students may use the conference room to plan, perform, analyze and discuss research activities.  The conference room is also available for project advisory board/committee meetings.

Library:  CRESMET has a collection of books, journals, videos and audio tapes/CDs on STEM education.  Research teams are encouraged to add artifacts to the library from active projects as resources for faculty and graduate students.

Administrative Support: CRESMET will provide administrative support to manage grants and contracts.  CRESMET personnel may also provide media services, transcription services, editorial services or dissemination assistance.  Currently faculty from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education, and the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering reside in and administer the center jointly. CRESMET has a uniquely collaborative environment for educational researchers in education, science, mathematics and engineering.
